What Certvolt is
Certvolt is an independent battery analytics service for Tesla owners. It reads telemetry from your Tesla account via Tesla's official Fleet API and presents degradation estimates, charging insights, and range modeling. The service is currently free to use.
Read-only by design
Certvolt cannot send commands to your vehicle. We cannot honk, lock, unlock, climate-control, drive, or otherwise affect your Tesla's behavior in any way. All telemetry is read-only and stays in your account.
Battery health estimate disclaimer
The battery-health estimate in your owner report is generated from Tesla Fleet API telemetry — specifically displayed range and EPA-rated capacity. It is not a direct BMS readout and is notan official Tesla service measurement. It should not be used as the sole basis for warranty claims, resale negotiations, or insurance disputes. Tesla's Service Center can provide an official Battery Health Test if needed.
Accuracy
Battery degradation estimates carry inherent variance. Real-world cell capacity depends on dozens of factors invisible to the Fleet API — pack temperature history, individual cell balance, BMS calibration state, and cell-level resistance growth. Certvolt's estimates are calibrated against published research (Geotab fleet data, Tesla Impact Reports, NREL/INL cold-weather studies, and published SoC-window battery-aging research such as Keil & Jossen, 2017), but they remain estimates.
Tesla trademarks
Tesla, the Tesla logo, and Tesla vehicle model names (Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, Cybertruck) are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. Certvolt is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc.
Acceptable use
- You may only connect Tesla accounts you own and operate.
- You may not scrape, mirror, or republish Certvolt output without permission.
- You may not use Certvolt to bulk-collect telemetry across vehicles you don't own.
Termination
You can disconnect Certvolt at any time from your Tesla account settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or that abuse the Tesla Fleet API in ways that risk our partner credentials.
Liability
Certvolt is provided “as is” without warranty. We are not liable for decisions you make based on its output (e.g. timing a vehicle sale, deciding whether to file a warranty claim). Use the dashboard as one input among many.
